NOBU Horizontal Wall Bed

Yes. The NOBU fits any standard king mattress measuring 200cm × 150cm, up to 15cm thick. Most standard and medium-profile mattresses fall within this range. Deep-fill memory foam mattresses (typically 20–30cm) are not compatible — a purpose-made wall bed mattress is recommended instead.

Most customers complete installation in 3–5 hours with two people. Full step-by-step instructions are included, and installation videos are available. You'll need standard DIY tools and access to a solid wall.

The NOBU must be secured to a solid wall — brick, concrete, or solid timber stud frame. It cannot be mounted to plasterboard alone. If your wall is plasterboard over timber, fixings need to anchor into the timber studs. Not sure about your wall? Contact us before ordering.

Yes. The desk surface stays level whether the bed is open or closed, so you can use it as a working surface throughout the day without clearing it each time.
- Horizontal model: desk is 70cm high, 40cm deep
 - Vertical model: desk is 150cm wide, 50cm deep

The NOBU supports a maximum load of 200kg. This covers two adults of most sizes comfortably.

When fully extended, the NOBU requires approximately 212cm of floor depth. Make sure you have at least 220cm of clear floor space from the wall outward to allow for comfortable use.

We strongly recommend two people for assembly and installation. Some panels are large and awkward to position solo, and wall-fixing is significantly safer with a second person holding components in place.

The "with desk" configuration includes an integrated desk panel that folds down with the bed and stays level during use. The "without desk" option removes this panel — useful if you plan to use the wall space differently or already have a separate desk in the room. Both variants are king size and use the same bed mechanism.

Wipe down with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or anything solvent-based. The scratch-resistant coating handles everyday contact well, but sharp impacts can mark the surface as with any furniture panel.
